After staying up much of the night, I successfully filled my day. I had an early breakfast and left the hostel before 8:30. I walked to the metro to get to Saint Lazare for a train to Rouen and wandered the town a bit. Then, after meeting up with someone I networked with before leaving the states, the two of us visited a cathedral and a church/museum dedicated to St. Jean d'Arc. Afterward I spent time listening to a few French conversations on the way to the house. I figured out the connection between fondre (to melt) and fondue, which turns out to be the past participle of the former. I've always loved word games and word association but now I making it a full time job and am enjoying every minute of it.
Hopefully tonight I can get plenty of sleep. Last night I was busy trying to form new French sentences and when my roommates started snoring, I looked up a few new French words.
