I Want to See

Expounding upon A Course in Miracles (ACIM) lesson 27: "Dear God, above all else, I want to see."

Dear God, above all else, I want to see.
I want to see that this pain is part of the miracle.
May I learn to love this pain as I would love any other miracle.
Dear God, I want to see.
I want to see myself as You see me, God.
I want to see my life as You see it, God.
For I have seen myself through the eyes of those who would condemn me
and I have learned to see my life through the lens of my pain
instead of the lens of Your ceaseless love and grace. 
Dear God, above all else, I want to see.
I want to see Your children as You do, God.
I want to forgive all those who have harmed me
and all those who have harmed my friends.
Dear God, I want to see.
I want to see all the love that surrounds me.
I want to see the abundance that abounds in me.
I want to see Your hand in all things.
Dear God, above all else, I want to see.
Thank You, God. Thank You, God. Thank You, God.
Let this be so. And so it is. Amen.
