A Gift from the Thought to be Absent Sun

Today was much the same as yesterday with the addition of a surprise sunburn. It was another overcast day with thick gray clouds and when the sun came out I put on a long sleeve shirt to cover my shoulders. My guess is, between the 20 minutes of sun I know I had and the brief moments when the clouds parted, I got a good hour or so of sun. Seriously, I have no idea how the three or four moments added up to an hour or more of sun unless the clouds were just much thinner than I thought at some point. I've been enjoying the cloud cover with the cooler temperatures and the thought that I would be safe without sunscreen since things worked out well yesterday.
