Even More Half-Baked Ideas

So this morning I discovered an ideal workaway offer in Northern Ireland where I would get to work with children at an outdoor adventure camp. They would provide a six week training program in late June and the camp would run through most of August. (Summers are short in Northern Ireland.) If this is a real thing, it couldn't be more perfectly in line with what I would enjoy doing! Two of my favorite things put together! There are small things off about it but it could very well be all in my head and I'm working on verifying that now. I've always either been too trusting or overly paranoid and haven't yet found a good middle ground for that.
If this possibility comes to pass, I added more to this daydream and thought, "I should invite and purchase a plane ticket for my Mom to come over for our June birthdays and we could go to Bastille Day together in Domme, France." I had heard it is a splendid occasion and I already know it to be a picturesque little village. The holiday is June 14th which is why I believe this is more of a lovely fantasy than a true possibility, but I can dream!
Anyway, what if's and fantasies aside, today, I bet you can guess what I did... That's right more weeding. I also cut and peeled several stalks of rhubarb to prepare them for a possible pie tomorrow. Now I have the place to myself since I was too tired to consider attending a concert this evening. I haven't slept properly for about a week. At midnight last night someone's phone alarm went off and when it wore itself out the first time, it went off 5 minutes later, so this turned into a 20 minute ordeal since everyone else was smart enough to go to bed early and lucky enough not to suffer through insomnia.
When heading back to the garden for a second heap of rhubarb, I literally pinched a hole in my finger with the latch to the gate. I didn't think I could move a piece of metal that fast; both parts are blunt, but there you go.
