Today was a lovely rainy, lazy day. I went to bed super late last night reading, writing, and then analyzing everything and just stayed in bed til some time after nine. Despite the rain, I did include another run and then just hung out until lunch with the family we did work for this past week. They cooked us a great meal with white asparagus and a creamy sauce of mayonnaise and coriander as the first dish, then a meat with spicy Dijon mustard and fantastic greasy potatoes. They were apparently cooked in goose fat/grease. Then we had a tasty cake of whipped cream, custard and a crispy pastry. After the meal, they showed us what other work they want us to do this coming week while they're are in Paris.
When all that was over, we just hung out in front of the fire and read and two of us napped. I listened to my iPod and read a book called The Teaching of Buddha and wrote some notes. I kept replaying a Native American piece from Spiritlands since my iPod shuffle is incapable of playing one album at a time. Instead all of its songs are in alphabetical order.
By 7:00 pm I called home to wish my grandfather a happy birthday and finished the day with a light meal of soup and salad.
