Had a busy day today. I took the metro to a bus stop. After getting onto bus 21, a passenger told me I needed bus 23 and after getting on bus 23 another person told me I needed 21. Which I KNEW! Anyway, I have no idea how that went down, but I somehow got the gumption to change back to bus 21. I finally got to Luminy to see the cliffs overlooking the sea and took about 100 pictures while walking through the National Park there. Then I found my way back into town with another bus and walked all the way to the Notre Dame de la Gard, which by the way, included more uphill climbing and a few dozen steps. After wandering around a bit inside, I made my way back towards my hostel.
The whole excursion lasted from 8 or 8:30 to about 2:20 and I'm now dead on my feet. I didn't sleep enough last night even though I made a valiant effort by going to bed at 9:15 but my brain just wasn't tired enough to shut up and there were spontaneous noises throughout the night that just happened to keep coinciding with my REM sleep so I kept waking up from things I would normally sleep through in a deeper part of the cycle. To get myself going this morning I had two cups of coffee, which increases my stress response but I fared okay overall today. Just starting to feel like I'm floating a bit.
